Did you notice how he and Cindy just stand side by side with about a foot of air between them? Compare that to the Obama's who greet each other warmly and hug and stand with their arms around each other. I noticed too, that john just steps off the stage and leaves Cindy behind him. Barrack guides Michelle with his hand on her back or arm.

5. Your post just reminded me of the very early days of my father's Alzheimer's.

One of the very first things I noticed that seemed odd was that he would walk out the door at home, at a restaurant, or when visiting friends, and just leave my mother to fend for herself. He would never look back to see how she was, or if she needed a hand down the steps. They were both in their late 70's. He was very robust, and she was quite frail. She needed a little help from him, but he just seemed to forget that she was even there. At first I was pissed at him for being rude to her, but then it seemed to go beyond rudeness.
