10. He brought up Sarah + autism 2-3 times during debate......
Her son has Down syndrome... does she have another child that has autism??????

I agree with you Kstorm... That poor baby can't even hold his own head up and she is carrying that baby like he has not issue holding his own head. Then to hand him over to her young girl, who was not supporting his neck. WTF is right....

2. My thoughts exactly.
And why was her child thrown out there as a political talking point?

3. And considering she seems to foist it off on everyone else all the time..
..how in the hell could she even have a clue about "raising" a special needs child?

4. No kidding. The hard part isn't CLOSE to started yet.
Not to mention the fact that she is not doing the primary caregiving most of the time anyway.

If everyone who had a special needs kid had plenty of money to hire all the help they needed, it'd
be a totally different experience.

5. I still wanna know whether Trig is getting early-intervention special-needs services
Because if he's not, she sucks as a mom. Sorry, but children with Down Syndrome need early intervention therapy ... when they're babies. You cannot wait around and start therapy when they're five years old, for chrissakes. I have a special-needs adult in my family, and very early preschool therapy changed his life.

7. McCain got his conditions mixed up
He kept talking about FailinSarah and her child and then he talked about autism. I believe her newborn special needs child has Downs Syndrome and not autism.

8. As a mother of a Special Needs child...
...she is full of SHIT!! Sorry, but it truly makes me angry that that woman pretends
to care about Special Needs children, all the while neglecting HER OWN. I have a 16 month old little boy with mild Cerebral Palsy, and even thou his disability is on the mild side (he just learned to crawl 2 1/2 weeks ago) his disability still takes up a LOT of time, for the WHOLE family. There is NO WAY he is getting the vital attention that is needed from HIS MOTHER. I don't CARE that it is said "Todd is a "stay-at-home-dad" --- BULLPUCKEY! I do not care, when you have a Special Needs child, you MUST change YOUR life. Your personal ambitions come SECOND. This woman has NO idea what all of us in mainstream America go thru on a daily basis, regarding Early Intervention, doctor visits, therapy, MONEY to pay for everything...and McCain has already said he's cutting Medicaid. There goes MOST diasbled kids. Most parents of diasbled children can't AFFORD to pay for all the extra medical needs of their child, and MANY have to stop working to CARE for their child, rather than desert them to be neglected in the daycare system that is severely broken as well.
The way she throws that baby around at the rallies is just horrible. I about died when she let her littlest daughter RUN off stage w/ the baby at her debate w/ Biden. The child is like SEVEN,and was RUNNING on a STAGE w/ a DOWN SYNDROME INFANT!!! WTF?????
She and McCain are as transparent as glass, and intelligent people don't buy into their lies. She is USING that little baby as a pawn to get votes!!

11. Track and Bristol do seem pretty broken and disfunctional
Maybe they're emphasizing nuture over nature in terms of special needs. The Palins are shitty parents.

13. Palin will NEVER EVER know the difficulties of rasing a special needs child
Like she'll ever have to wonder where the money will come from, or worry about being able to raise it.
