I predict seven seats but that may even be conservative.

I think these states will go from GOP to Dem:

North Carolina
Georgia
Mississippi
Minnesota
New Hampshire
Colorado
New Mexico

I think Dem incumbents will win in every state.

I also think that there is a chance that KY will switch from GOP to DEM, but not ready to predict it as happening as yet (that would be McConnell's seat).

1. love to see Chambliss lose.
Don't know if it'll happen, but I'm enjoying the fact that it's even competitive.

Minnesota
Alaska
Oregon
North Carolina
New Hampshire
Colorado
New Mexico
Virginia
Georgia

I'm convinced that we'll win in Georgia's senate race. Turnout is going to be insane there. Heck, early voting has been insane there thus far.

3. 9 or 10
OR, NM, CO, NC, VA, NH, AK, NC. Those 8 I feel good about.

MAYBE MN. Makes 9

Long shot: MS for 10

Unlikely, but possible KY and GA for 12.

I think 9 or 10, final count in the Senate 60-1-39

4. Probably not enough to boot Joe
out the door, Sad to say. Perhaps even MORE than a Barack victory (and that's a lot), I fervently wish to see LIEberman shunted off to complete Senatorial impotence, with NO true "friends" on either side of the aisle.

5. He'll always have AIPAC behind him...
...which means he's gonna be in the national political picture -- one way or another.

11. Only if MSM and CSpin
show the speeches of a has been. Hoping here, but you nailed it - he has revealed himself to be a Zionist FIRST and an American second and a Democrat/Independent a far distant third.

It's going to be a complete, utter disaster for the Republicans in the Senate races.

7. Your list is missing Virginia.
With the Warner swap being the Dems most likely pick up.

9. My Over/Under is 7
Pretty much sure bets:

Colorado
New Mexico
Virginia

Close, but I think we'll get these:

Oregon
New Hampshire

Really hard to predict (RNC will spend big to defend these 3 in particular)

North Carolina
Minnesota
Alaska

If we're having a magical night, we'll take:

Georgia
Mississippi
...and extra magic would be Texas

One potential GOP pickoff:

South Dakota (a moderate longshot)

16. Conservative In Some Respects . . .

. . . not-so-conservative in others. :-) Virginia is a lock; it's not even a contest. Alaska is just south of a sure thing.

I have the five locks as:

VA
CO
NM
NH
AK

And the probables as:

NC
MN
OR

That's eight seats. I don't count Liarman, so that gives us 58. We need two of KY, MS, and GA to get a real 60. Very doable, I think.
