Michelle Obama holds a rally in Fort Wayne, Ind., at noon ET. She will attend the final debate with guest Lilibet Hagel, wife of Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb.

The image will be commented upon by talking heads in all 50 states, heard and seen by up to 60 million viewers, and will be
shown in repeat clips on local TV everywhere, including battleground states like Senator Hagel's Nebraska, where Team Obama
wants that 1 electoral vote out of Omaha.

5. Makes me more certain that something big transpired when that helicopter went down in Afghanistan
and Kerry, Biden and Hagel were on that mountaintop for some time. I think it changed Hagel to his very core.

6. My impression is that McCain and Hagel haven't gotten along for a while now
esp. on Iraq war, veterans' issues.

7. Yes...but he would still be loyal to GOP in the long run. This year he's turned his back
on them and I highly doubt he'll choose to turn back.
