Strangely, or perhaps not so strangely, they're somewhat congruent.
Fox's political bias needs no explanation so case closed.
What is somewhat more interesting is their coverage of the Dodgers/Phillies series which is in keeping with their stupid-ass style:
There has been a consistent denigration of the Phillies, from Danny DeVito's (Hannity) lineup shtick, where he made fun of the Phillies' names and was joking around saying he was a Dodger fan, etc, while the poor sidekick from the Fox TV show 'It's always Sunny in Philadelphia' was trying to do his job, albeit most ineffectively, in a fair fashion (Colmes), to constantly pointing out who in the Phillies lineup wasn't producing. The fact that the Phillies beat the Dodgers utilizing their whole lineup three times is irrelevant, since how important is team play anyway, right?
There have been constant wishful-thinking scenarios from the broadcasters Buck and McCarver which are most reminiscent of the McCain/Palin 'winning' story-lines to wit: "Although the Phillies are leading by six runs, if the Dodgers were to get two men on and then have someone hit a home run, then it would only be a three-run lead." Yes I know this is exactly what happened, but that's besides the point. When is the last time you heard an NFL game called where the announcers said, "Well the Cowboys are ahead by 4 touchdowns but if the Redskins score, get the ball back, score again, have a squib kick..." You get the picture. It doesn't happen.
But this is what Fox does when the outcome is not to their liking. It's infantile and unprofessional. you shall see the same tenor of broadcasting thru November 4th and beyond.
