Grassroots smear campaign

We can start a grass roots smear campaign of our own using 1000s of home printers. We do not need a TV commercial to get attention.

We are all potential publishers and dsseminators of information. We don't need MoveOn to do it for us. For example I just created a postcard size smear on the 8/6/2001 PDB. I use Bush's words to highlight his incompetence. If this idea spread like wildfire we could get media attention.

They can just start appearing everywhere. If they do we could get the kind of media attention the Swift Liars did.

Just look at my postcard and imagine you were a Bush supporter and you found it on your car windshield. I bet you would read it.

9. we should not fear the word smear, Bush deserves smearing for

lots of reasons.

I think incompetence is number 1.

Lets get more of these. Mine took about an hour to create in PhotoShop. I can mail someone the PSD if they think they can improve on it in Freehand or Illustrator. We all have printers. These could start showing up all over the country. The 9/11 commission tryed to hard to avoid casting blame.

7. Use the Kitty Kelley "Bush is queer" meme

If the book does have some allusion to Bush having had some sort of connection to a homosexual act, then put of thousands of signs everywhere saying "bush is queer".

He was incompetent from Day 1. He picked incompetent people like Rice and Ashcroft.

We have their own words courtesy of the 9/11 commission. This could be huge if everyone chipped in and starting designing and printing.

But if the Kelley book does have such accusations and they get any play in the mainstream media, then a grassroots freeway blogging campaign will put the nails in the coffin for bush.

If is a very simple idea that can be transmitted MUCH more easily, and it strikes right at the heart of Bush's base--white males 30-50 years of age. These are the ones who, if they get a whiff of anything like this, will stay home on election day.

11. Is a smear the same thing as a lie?

I think this is what "smear" generally means: you take your opponents image and you spin it around and around until it is smeared, until the viewer is no longer clear about what they are seeing. Naturally, you do this so that you can cast a negative impression on the other guy.

Usually, smears involve lies.

But what if the truth is already so negative and damaging that you can smear your opponent's image simply by telling the truth?

We can do that to Bush. We can smear his ass simply by telling the truth.

I think it was Captain Hook speaking to Pan's children saying: "Lie? Never! No, no, no, the truth is far too much fun!"

AND we need media attention.

Viral marketing describes any strategy that encourages individuals to pass on a marketing message to others, creating the potential for exponential growth in the message's exposure and influence. Like viruses, such strategies take advantage of rapid multiplication to explode the message to thousands, to millions.

We need to combine imagery and words to create an impression that Bush does not know what he is doing. This is not hard. We don't even have to lie. We are all potentail desktop publishers.

24. If people wake up and find them on their car windshields...

someone will probably call someone to say. "what's up" and it could end up up local TV news.

If it happens in enough places it could force the media to cover what lost of people are talking about.

That is the essense of viral and guerilla marketing.

The mystique also gives the phenomanon cache.
