Driving in the country
I am amazed at how many dilapidated, falling-down shacks I see with "McCain Palin" signs in the front yard.

Talk about voting against your interest!

1. Saw something like that this weekend.
I was driving through a very small town and there was this little, shabby house with a huge McCain-Palin sign in the front yard. From the looks of the place the people who live there probably don't have two nickels to rub together, but they support a candidate who doesn't understand or care anything about them or their problems. Maybe it's a fundie thing.

13. It is the fundie thing & also
the racist thing. Lots of those in rural areas are never exposed to people of different races. some if it is also the "patriot" thing. Lots of those folks have served in the military themselves.

What state were you in?

16. Minnesota.
It's very liberal in the cities but there are plenty of wingnuts in the small towns and suburbs.

2. I see the opposite here in ATL
7 million dollar homes with those signs. I don't know why, but even that typeface pisses me off. If it's late enough at night, I roll down the window, beep the horn and yell LOSER! at the top of my lungs. It is very cathartic. 8 years of biting my tongue and now, I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

5. I can understand why those people would want to vote for McCain
I don't agree with it, but at least their taxes will go down if he is elected.

These others I'm talking about are really shooting themselves in the foot.

6. I've come to the conlusion
that at this juncture, it's mostly racist asshats who, just last year, HATED McCain and hated the idea of a woman in the White House. They have nothing left but their newly visible (and supported) racism.

That was supposed to be opened in '04. It's probably vinegar now, but I'm going to shake that bad boy up and pour it over my head in the street in front of my house. Stay tuned for the video! Just gotta find that Kool and the Gang record...
