Edited on Tue Oct-14-08 05:12 PM by LibraLiz1973
I support McKlan.

I am not giving these assholes ANY reason to not count my vote.

I say we all quietly go vote O/B. If the shit is going to hit the fan on 11/4, let it be because the Rethugs ate eachother.

On Edit: I am basically responding to this thread:

1. Not wearing Obama gear is correct, but lying to an exit pollster makes theft easier to cover.

5. I don't mean a pollster. I mean on the way in.
We get a lot of whacky Repubs who get right in your face around these parts.
I live in one of the last Repub strongholds in the Philadelphia burbs.

12. Oregon has mail-in ballot
Whatcha gonna do, stand out by yer mailbox in your Obama pajammies? "Hey you driving past my house! I voted for Obama!"

I like the convenience of a mail-in ballot, but I have to admit that I miss the ol' polling station set up in the school gym or the basement of the rec center or whatever. I don't miss the exit pollsters though. I remember my dad coming out of the booth after voting (I think it was for Carter) and when an exit pollster asked him for a moment of his time, he said "I just cast my vote in the only poll that matters."

21. I voted while wearing my Obama button
Hey, even the computer screen on my desk, where I voted, had pro-Obama wallpaper ;)

You don't have to vote in Oregon to have the full benefit of an absentee ballot :)

3. Wearing political gear to the polls
is verboten. 'They' call it electioneering and can refuse to allow you to vote.

4. You're not allowed to wear campaign regalia to the polls
You can't campaign within 100 feet, usually.

11. I cannot vote for Obama on November 4th
because I already voted for Obama/Biden on October 6th! :bounce: :applause:

I specifically did not choose to vote a straight Democratic ticket because I wanted to enjoy the pride and honor of connecting the line by Obama/Biden who were at the top of my ballot here in Wisconsin.

15. The only thing political I wear when I go in to vote
Is my "I AM AN ENEMY OF THE STATE" button which I've worn for every election in the last 35 years.

17. DON'T live in fear!
I'm wearing as much Obama regalia as I can get away with when I go to put my ballot in the box.

And God help the rethug who thinks he can prevent me from voting - I hate bullies, won't be intimidated, and will get in his fucking face if he tries.

please don't give any good people a hard time. It makes the whole party look bad.
