18. I've been hearing for quite a while about this book.....
and how it's supposed to be explosive. I also heard Neil bu$h's ex gave Kitty the inside dirt on this evil empire. I think you are wrong.....I don't think it's BS I think there will be a lot of truth told in this book. The truth NEEDS to be told on this phony "born again christian" and his family. Just look at all the people who have drank their kool-aid. It's sickening.....most people vote for that idiot because they think he is a good man. It's a damn lie and we all know it. :puke:

15. I believe about half of those things ...
I would say, from my years of following the Bush family, that about half of the things on that list are at least partially true.

Yes, there are questions about Georgie's relationship with the former mayor of Nashville, his Yale roomie.

There are questions about how far the abuse by "the Enforcer" went with the Bush children.

Read the Salon article at the Guardian about what Bush was doing in Alabama ... clearly the cocaine, abortion rumors are worth investigating.

Though Kitty Kelley is a tabloid-type, yellow journalism-type biographer ... rejoice in the proposition that perhaps someone is going to sling mud at the Bushs the way they have had no qualms about slinging at their enemies themselves.

Personally, I think it is pay back time for the Bush family criminal enterprise ... I hope they get everything they justly deserve.

And everyone be hopeful ... as I headline on my web site today - www.Earthside.com - Iraq is going to hell in a hand basket ... though the mainstream press won't report on it, the disaster continues to grow. The bad news is sadly good news for getting these fascists out of office. Then we can start rebuilding our country!

22. Doesn't mean that most married men are gay . . .
I think this "Is Bush gay" is a stupid and childish line of attack on Bush.

1. Most of the people we need to move to Kerry's side will never believe it. And those who do, likely won't care.

2. It smacks of homophobia - Republicans are still backward enough to think screaming "So and So's a FAG!" is a smear that will frighten voters and redound to their benefit. We're better than that.

Let's not go there - let's move on to something else that matters.

26. Completely Disagree
If you have an evil person who is attempting to DIVIDE the country using homophobia as a weapon, it is perfectly legitimate to out them and show the horrifying hypocrisy of the religious rightwing.

It is not about homophobia, it is about standing up, finally, and fighting the religious rightwing with the gloves off.

hypocrite. But screaming that he's gay, without evidence, IS nothing but homophobia. It's in the same category as claiming that Clinton fathered an illegitimate black child - since the only reason to raise it is to try to smear him among people who hate gays.

If there's any proof of this, fine. But picking up an unsubtantiated rumor posted on a blog based in Colombia, South America and running with it is childish and petty bulls*it.

Mind you, I don't give a hoot about W. But I resent that some in my own party seem to believe that calling someone gay is an insult.

Let her be heard! She's earned that right. Then let the voters decide. Watch the Shrimp Boat Peddlers suddenly condemn hearsay, gossip and innuendo...if they even speak to the *legitimate questions about chimpy's orientation* that have been raised.

Who here thinks that the press will pick up and run with this controversy at all?

It would be too good to be true, and if it gets play in the media Bush would be able to kiss the election goodbye.

It's just too hot.

BUT, it will probably go to number one on the bestseller lists while being studiously ignored by mainstream media.

So it yet might have some effect.

Don't you think that if there was any likelihood that Kelley's book contained all of these allegations, we would have heard about it by now from some other source than this obscure Spanish-language blog that has no connection to Kelley's book?

Let's focus on the issues. This is silly.

35. Five Bombshells!
This...from a credible source.

A Kitty Surprise?
ROGER SIMON COLUMN
SEPTEMBER 1, 2004

NEW YORK - - Republican insiders have been huddling in small groups at the Republican Convention this week and talking about what worries them most. It is not John Kerry. It is not the unemployment numbers. It is not Iraq.

It is Kitty Kelley.

Kelley has a new book coming out in a few weeks titled "The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty” and it is rumored to be explosive.

One source tells me there are “at least five bombshells” contained in it and another source says there is allegedly new material on President Bush’s service in the Air National Guard.

45. From the Inside Flap:
"Perhaps most impressive--and surprising--is the way the book delves behind the obsessively protected public image into the family's intimate private lives: the matriarchs, the mistresses, the marriages, the divorces, the jealousies, the hypocrisies, the golden children, and the black sheep."

Nothing about his being gay, but a lot of potentially juicy stuff nevertheless. :bounce:
