So, Bush Got A Big Bump From His Convention - Let's Get To Work
Let's stop fighting reality and each other, and let's start developing a Fall campaign strategy. I've said this once, and I'll say it again. We "officially" lost Florida in 2000 by 500 votes. That means that we could have won just by knocking on the doors of one more apartment complex or canvassing a mall parking lot for one more hour. IOW, this election is still in our hands.

Whatever deficiencies that the Kerry campaign has, we have to make up for them. We have to win this election for ourselves, even if it means that we have to drag the Kerry campaign along with us.

2. good point.
I agree. I followed the convention on Air America Radio all week, and all I heard was non-stop bull-crap and inuendo.

I'm personally in a fighting mode and I refuse to let these arrogant bastards think it's going to be that easy. In their dreams!!

We have too much to fight for. I'm personally planning to get out there and make sure BeelzeBush doesn't win.

3. I'm out of gas
Edited on Sat Sep-04-04 11:01 AM by The Doctor
been working all along and all I have have to show for it are alot of sleepless night, a slip in my job rating, a dissertation that's languishing, and $1000 or so that could have been used to emigrate.

I will say it again. If that hate fest of this week brought people over to *, then the current situation is untenable. This country cannot be saved by a patch - it needs to be recone from scratch.

Edit:

Florida was going to go into *'s column no matter what in 2000. The fact that he actually lost didn't matter a lick.

5. Have a seat on the bench
Take a break, gather your wits. Re-charge your batteries. We're just starting the second quarter, and we'll need you to be ready in the fourth, when the game is decided.

4. Indeed. Kerry has been silent for weeks
Purposely, of course, he's not been spending. Most people will tell you that the real race starts after Labor Day, that's when a lot of people start to pay attention. I expect Kerry to come out swinging (he already has, with that speech the other night), with lots of great ads and smart campaigning.

Now's the time to work harder, not give up.

Turnout turnout turnout. Make it happen.
