Didn't the Time poll come out mighty quickly ??

Where are the others? Still putting their information together? I think someone reported that it wasn't even on their website? They were reporting something that they wanted to be first in the line...and it didn't matter if it was correct or not. TIME was being intentionally political with their supposed "poll", in my opinion. We shall see a couple of polls that will come out by Monday or Tuesday and those should be more accurate. I think TIME has damaged their credibility with their rush to manipulate public opinion...

1. While the Time poll may be an outlier it does reflect

the gains Bush made in August. Zogby is +2 for Bush and Rasmussen has been +4 for the past two days. August was guaranteed to be a bad month for Kerry and good for Bush. The Smearboat ads softened some support and Bush was able to spend freely while Kerry had to husband his finite resources for the September-October push. The GOPCON was likely to give a bounce to Bush as well. The polls should settle down in a couple of weeks. I believe it is likely that Kerry will start "gaining" and that the new media/poll story will become about Kerry's momentum. It is early days yet and a lot of voters are not really paying attention. It is STILL all about a close, fierce race, voter turnout, and the Electoral College.

2. Kentuck--Zogby had his out within minutes of the end of the convention.

If anything, Time was slow.........

It seems a little too quick for any analysis to me....but that's just my opinion.

6. Am I the only one who remembers that after our convention, the CW

was that "meaningful" polls wouldn't be out until the following week? I don't know whether the CW was right then, but I seem to remember seeing a lot of talking heads saying reliable polls would not be out until the Monday or Tuesday after the convention. If that was true then, why shouldn't it be true now? If it wasn't true then, why were all the talking heads saying it? I see the polls released the day after the hate-fest ended as another double-standard, and an obvious attempt to prop up the sinking chimp.
