McCain Economic Policy (10-13-08)
He has a plan....

He has a plan to let retirees keep retirment.

He has a plan to cut taxes.

He won't spend nearly a trillion dollars.

Freeze govt. spending and get rid of programs that don't help the American people.

He will cut pork barrel spending, he will make them famous and let you know their names.

Low premiums, keep plan if you change jobs.

$5,000 refundable tax credit. (What the F* is a REFUNDABLE tax credit?)

Won't raise taxes.

Open new markets to goods made in america, and make sure trade if free and fair.

Help you find new jobs.

Hoover mention again.

Won't make mistakes that Obama would.

Stop sending money to people that don't like us very much.

NO argueing about new drilling.....we will start drilling now.

Invest in all energy alternatives.

Create millions of new jobs. (I think with green jobs)

This is roughly what he said today.

4. A refundable credit can result in a net payment to the tax payer
If someone owes $3000 in taxes based on their wages, and receives a $5000 non-refundable credit, they will simply owe no taxes. If they had already had the $3000 withheld from their paychecks, they will get $3000 refund. If that same person instead receives a refundable tax credit, the $3000 they owe in taxes is covered and then they get $2000 back. This would basically result in the federal government making a payment to everyone that owes less than $5000 in taxes.

8. That's not a plan that's talking points
Talk about vague, it was all "I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do that" Ok John HOW are you gonna do what you claim? No details as always.
As I watched Obama's proposals, i was overjoyed with how clear and detailed and well thought out his plans were and just thought, "I hope McCain's plan comes off like all his other speeches..VAGUE" McCain didn't disappoint.
