I am SICK and TIRED of Old White Men Running This Country
I'm a white male, and am sick and tired of old white guys running this country. Now, I'm hardly voting for Obama because hes black. His race didnt even cross my mind once. I'm voting for Obama because of his foreign, social, and economic policies. I'm just sick and tired of what Palin says shes fought, the good ole boys network, which is what John McCain represents. You watch the McCain rallies and all you see are white people surrounding him. They dont even attempt to find the few minorities in the crowd to put up on the stage to fake diversity because there are barely any. But at Obama's rallies, you really do see people of every race, religion, and age.

Time for a change, time for Obama.

2. I'm sick and tired of people being judged by their age or the color or thier skin.
Edited on Mon Oct-13-08 12:30 AM by Skip Intro
I'm sick of injustice.

I'm sick of prejudice.

I'm sick rule by the rich.

But I don't give a flying fuck if the color of our leaders' skin is white, black, red or purple. And I don't give a fuck if they're 30 or 80.

That's all beside the point.

17. I'm "sick and tired" because I'm an "old white man" and have no business being President!
John, be honest with me, don't you really just want your couch and remote? All this "running for the presidency" stuff is crazy talk! At least you have your tall blonde rich squeeze to pay your bills and pour your beer. Be satisfied, forget this nonsense!

3. I'm tired of INCOMPETENTS running my country
Screw what their race or age is. Sheesh-leave the labeling to "those ones"....

4. I agree with you 100%...I am also tired of dumb people running
the country. Remember when the President of the United States was the highest office in the land? The last eight years have reduced the position to something I can't describe. With an Obama/Biden administration we can rest assured that smart people who actually care about ALL people and not just their pockets are running the show.

5. True! But I will take a white Joe Biden over a black Condi Rice
or Clarence "Heaven Help Us" Thomas any day of the week.

I like your sentiment. You are what I call a HPOC -- 'honorary person of color,' which I bestow on white folks who 'get it,' who show wisdom and keen sensibility, and who don't feel being born white makes them automatically entitled. Congratulations!

You are special. Really. I wish I could clone you.

10. The Repuke base is old, white, fundy and disappearing
I have said this in a number of posts, but the simple facts are that this country is becoming younger and browner. Good things, IMHO. Today's college kids and 20-somethings have grown up in a country where they always had an Asian teacher, an African-American principal or coach, a Latino doctor and a gay friend or some melange of all of the above.

They will always associate the Republican Party with the colossal and total failure of the Chimp. They don't give a shit about the things that the fundy repuke base organize their campaigns around: hatred of minorities and the "other", laissez faire capitalism, and warmongering. The Repukes are facing a demographic death warrant. The next generation is the Obama generation, and if he is half the President I expect him to be, the 'pukes will be shut out of the generation after that as well.

In the interests of full disclosure, I am a middle-aged white male raised in the then lily-white suburbs around Minneapolis.

13. And how many suburban white kids wanted to 'be like Mike'?
As in Michael Jordan? Or a mixed race kid named Tiger doing pretty well for himself...

Lots of kids growing up today get to see diversity where people our age it was always seemed to be a white role model.

The faces involved in politics will start to reflect the true nature of our electorate.

11. I just don't care anymore
I want the smartest motherfuckers we can find running the show.

If that person is a purple alien being named Klomerxix with three eyes and green hair, born on our soil, is thirty-five years old, and says that he knows how to get us out of this mess, it's got my vote.

Race, gender, age...so irrelevant.

The only ones making religion a relevant factor are those that belong to an intolerant form of it, so fuck them.

But all the rest?
I point to W.
'Nuff said.

Whitebread asshole to the core.

15. hardly voting for Obama because hes black... sure has been a wonderful and pleasurable
by product though. months ago, one of the niftiest sites was see such a diversity and an embracing of politics by the disenfranchised black and FINALLY having that representation. now, women need to do some kicking old white males asses too.
