I'm so sick of dumb Palin "folks" who think she is so damn smart!

This afternoon, I'm in the store looking for Halloween stuff with my kids and I reach to try on a pair of reading glasses. This older lady and her son, were standing there looking too and when I tried on a pair, she said, "oh, those look just like Sarah Palin!" I said, "well, by damn, then let me get them off..."

She went on to say, "yeah, Sarah Palin is too pretty to wear glasses, but the only reason she does is so that these chauvinistic men will think she's smarter." :wtf:

I then busted out laughing and said, "no ma'am, the reason they think she isn't smart, is because she can't answer a question without a script in front of her."

Her response, "Oh, they're all like that and she's much smarter than Obama...and Obama's wife hates America and I know some blacks who won't even vote for Obama and I know because I'VE STUDIED POLITICAL SCIENCE!" Blah, blah, blah...

I said very calmly, "well, you're wrong. Palin isn't qualified and yes, Obama does have much more experience..." but before I could finish, she interrupted me with her raised voice spewing Hannity talking points again...:banghead:

My kids were standing there, so I eased on off, but dammit, this is the third time this week I've experienced this. It's getting harder to not go off on these nut cases, but I keep thinking, I'm representing Obama...that's what I told my daughter anyway.

It's not worth it. I told her it would take a week to even get that lady to even glance at the truth--and then it's still a lost cause.:eyes:

12. This example goes to show you one thing.

That it is the God-fearing, church-going everyday people that are the most frightening. Blatant racists are easy to spot in a crowd. But, the ones who want a person to "ignore" and condone their most heinous behavior are the ones who are truly dangerous.

I am glad that you did speak up. A lot of people wouldn't. They would let it pass.
