Poll question: After this election who will have a worse reputation? Sarah Palin or Dan Quayle?
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 04:15 PM by Quixote1818
In my opinion Dan Quayle was bad but not nearly as bad as Sarah Palin. She is better on the stump but Dan Quayle was actually reasonably knowledgeable on most of the issues and could talk to reporters. I think Quayle was just nervous being in the spotlight. SNL has been absolutly brutal with her, which I think will basically define her from hear on out. While I didn't care for Quayle I absolutely can't stand Palin.

The base however seems to really like her because she is ruthless toward the Dems. I am not sure they were that affectionate toward Quayle. She might actually do well during the Republican primary's because the Republican base is nuts and she fits right in. I don't think independents care for her at all though, which would make it very hard for her to win a national election.

1. Quayle. I don't think anybody liked him - lots of people seem to like her, and
as a matter of fact are hoping for a Palin run for the WH in 2012. I don't recall any such sentiments about Quayle.

3. After this election
I think Sarah red-shoes-no-knickers, aw-shucks, darn-right, I’m-just-a-hockey-mom governor of Alaska mouthing something completely devoid of meaning Palin will have the reputation for being the most appalling VP pick ever.

4. Quayle will now be able to run for the Repuke nomination in 2012
Dan Quayle - Younger than McCain, and smarter than Chimpy or Palin!!

5. Palin. Quayle was a garden-variety Repug, maybe not so bright,
but he didn't whip his audiences into lynch mobs.

6. Dan who?
The "potatoe" joke got old pretty fast.
Sarah, however, is the gift that keeps on giving.

8. Definitely Quayle
Quayle was ridiculed even though Bush won easily. It's lasted 20 years and no threat to stop. In this cycle McCain will take the majority of the heat, not Palin, along with an unfavorable cycles for Republicans due to Bush's ineptitude.

The poll results are laughable wishful thinking.
