Jolie: Obama win would be 'nice' for family
Associated Press - October 12, 2008 2:33 AM ET

BERLIN (AP) - Angelina Jolie isn't giving away who she's backing in the presidential election, but the A-lister seems to be all but endorsing Barack Obama.

The actress and activist tells the German edition of Vanity Fair that Obama comes down on the same side of several issues she does.

While admitting she likes his back story, she says that alone isn't a reason to vote for him. Instead, she praised Obama for fighting for international justice, saying it's those issues "that could move me to vote for him, not his roots."

She then adds, "Naturally, an American president like Barack Obama would be nice for my family."

Jolie's father, Jon Voight, has campaigned for John McCain.

20. That's nice..thanks, CAS.
A few months ago it was reported she hadn't made up her mind yet.:silly:

Then I read something on Huff post from Rosie O'Donnell who excoriated her for not taking a stand..didn't have anything nice to say about her father, either.

Only after the guy has a good chance of winning does she decide to swing over.

The fact that she gave McCain so much consideration says everything you need to know about this pseudo intelligent "activist".

9. Puke.
It's better than having her endorse McCain, but I don't give a shit what Angelina Jolie thinks about anything. The fact that she "wasn't sure who she would vote for" for so long, makes me think she would be receptive to a McCain-Palin administration. I find that horrific.

I'm sure she stayed neutral because she hopes to work with whomever becomes President in her capacity as whatever her capacity is working with other countries, but her seemingly cavalier manner toward a John McCain-Sarah Palin administration makes me think she'd be okay with it, and that makes me think very little of her.

11. Angelina Jolie is so strange that she's barely human.
Still, she does a lot of important charity work and her heart's in the right place.

I'm willing to cut her some slack for not jumping on the bandwagon as early as some would have liked.
