Please Check Your Voter Status
This is very important. I just checked my daughter's, and sure enough, she'd been purged because she neglected to update her address. I sent her a link and told her to update it online ASAP. I also called her. If you've moved and haven't updated your address, it's likely you've been purged. Even if you haven't moved, you may have been purged because of not voting, or by mistake. Make sure before it's too late! You are responsible for your own vote!

I don't mean to lecture, but this election is just too damn important.

1. I think it's too late for most to fix it. I was screaming about checking your status weeks ago
I hope that she is able to clear things up, but my guess is that she'll vote on provisional ballot (which will go right into the garbage without being counted).

If you find that you are unable to vote, it is your duty to take 3-5 people in person to the polls (Obama voters only) to make sure that their votes make up for yours.

3. Can she call her Secretary of State?
if someone doesn't start yelling it's never going to change.

4. UPDATE: She's on 'Inactive' status, so she wasn't removed.

Also, Nightwatcher, I wanted to thank you for that. Everytime I'd see your post, I'd check. I'm making sure everyone I know checks.

UPDATE: She had until October 4th. I checked the day before and she was 'active'. :( I think she will still be able to vote if she requests registration materials and votes in her prior district.

2. I think that everyone needs to check..
their registration regardless of if they are in one of the targeted states or not. We recently had a primary here, but I'm still going to go down to Town Hall and make sure we are registered.

5. Done and done. :)
I checked 'em last week and I recently updated my and my husband's addresses and we're listed as "active." Hopefully our ballots will be arriving in the mail this week! :)

6. I got my sample ballot and pamphlet in the mail last week, and my polling place...
is the same as it's been for the last 5 elections (including primary), so I know I'm ok.
