"Faux News" and Rush Limpballs has been doing for years on a daily basis
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 12:09 PM by In_Transit
the same thing that McCain and Palin have been doing at their hate-fest rallies. Is there any wonder that the country is so divided?
I hope the Obama administration take steps to stop this form of terrorism.
Do others see this?
Please share your opinion.

1. I agree they are using fascist, theocratic, sledgehammer propaganda
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 12:20 PM by Lint Head
to cause a person to cower and submit to their ways. They use fear to threaten you with death if you do not.
Republicans think death is the answer to every problem. If the problem is minorities, let them die in a hurricane. Let them die of disease because they can't afford the health care. Republicans are for no rights for individuals except the right to bear arms.
What do arms do? They cause death!

3. I just think it total insanity for Faux News to continue to demonize
the democratic party. It's their propaganda that has sent our whole political system into the ditch.

2. A person does need to pay attention to keeping their conscience sharp.
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 12:21 PM by Democrats_win
Conscience is a sense of moral awareness or a sense of right and wrong.

I've known for years that people who listen to Limbaugh were harming their conscience. Gradually they've allowed racism and hatred of liberals to creep into their very existance. Now we see McCain commericals words like, "and his liberal allies." They really should be ashamed of this. But it's been going on for years. That's not even the dangerous part.

The dangerous part is that, thanks to Limbaugh, they think what they're doing is right.

An example of sharpening your conscience is being more empathetic about the conditions of other people.

5. I said Obama needs to expand the war on terror to include domestic terrorism
Knoxville was a wake-up call that Rush and Co. are indeed creating monsters.

6. It's almost an oxymoron that they play
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 12:42 PM by Stagecoach
It's like they want 100% of the people to follow their beliefs.....otherwise they want the country to be completely divided in a "we're the good guys, they're the bad guys" form, as if they think it's going to help them get to that 100%. An attitude of "if we can't get everyone to see things our way, then we'd rather have everyone hating each other."

10. I hope the Obama administration realizes that and takes steps
to kill that snake (Fox News). I know I'm prejudiced about this, but it seems to me that their mission is to propagate ignorance, indifference, incompetence and greed, which are the main ingredients of this national train wreck.

9. Sometimes we forget the most important
reasons of why our country is so full of hate.

Thank you, In Transit, for bringing this up.

11. I can remember a time (before Fox News) that a democrat and a republican
could sit down and have a civilized discussion of their different points of view without it escalating into a cuss-fight with tempers lost and friendships ended.

12. I was just writing on another thread how I
stopped watching faux in 1999 only a few weeks after I tuned it in from not having a tv for years.

I could see through their bullshit and this was just in the news part of their agenda.

13. It reminds me of the frog sitting in a pot of water. I think some really
good people have had their thinking process distorted into paranoia and fear from all this. It's very clear to me.

17. Yes, it used to be that people could disagree about politics relatively civilly
but now with the influence of Rush and Hannity (and the rest of the Faux News nutjobs), people are frothing, seething cauldrons of red hot misinformation and rhetoric, ready to blow up on anyone who disagrees with them. It's scary.
