Anybody that was going to be influenced by this Ayers bullshit would have been the people who would have been influenced a long time ago by the videos of Rev. Wright.

It might have had some traction if there had been a video or something meaningful like a quote.

The fact that McCain didn't bring it up during the debate means that he now looks desperate and erratic.

The American people can get sentimental about conservative themes but they also have a deep suspicion about fanatacism. It is ironic that as the McCain/Palin team gets more and more fanatic about left wing fanatics they are reminding America what America really likes in a crises - a calm even toned leader like Lincoln, FDR or Kennedy.

The upcoming 30 minute Obama appearence will be calming. It will reassure people. He will draw historical parrallels and explain present complexities and he will talk a lot about jobs, jobs and more jobs. People want to here about their jobs not about Ayers or Acorn.

I think he's using it to target a wide audience to let them know what he's presenting to the American people as an audience. It's going to be a great night and he will be very supportive and very calming to the people.
