... The Democratic presidential nominee, in an interview with Men's Health magazine, talked about his plans to upgrade the White House bowling alley. He disclosed the plans when asked about what he would change at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

"We're going to do a thorough evaluation, but it may need an upgrade. The bowling alley, I understand, offers us some potential for expansion," he said.

The campaign says the remark was "very much a joke."

But it surely provides fodder for Republicans who have playfully called Obama "The One" and a celebrity who's a bit too sure of himself.

Obama apparently has had the bowling alley in his sights for months. Obama made a similar crack over the summer, when he told comic Jimmy Kimmel that he'd tear out the bowling alley and replace it with a basketball court.
