...the McCain camp right now? :scared:
We all know what he gets like, during a crisis. Cindy McCain has repeatedly said that her drug addiction was fueled, in part by, stress from the Keating Five scandal. I can only imagine what a monster he was during that period. I'd probably be downing painkillers by the barrel-full--just to endure husband McCain.
This campaign stress is probably more intense than Keating Five--because every day is an assault on John McCain. Every day, he has to deal with tanking poll numbers, states lost, attack ads, poor performance in the debates, the media not bowing to his every move, and Obama outwitting him at every turn.
And then there's the whole Palin problem. She's dragged down his campaign since she became his running mate. Cindy gets called nasty names for the slightest mistake. Can you imagine Palin's three weeks of horrendous interviews, comments and gaffes made McCain feel. His running mate is now a caricature joke, and here's the clincher--McCain didn't even want her. He desperately wanted Lieberman, but his party told him that the nomination of Lieberman would cause a "revolt on the convention floor." So, they selected Palin for him.
...and the rest is SNL history!
We can only imagine the intense frustration and rage that McCain is feeling, and I'm sure his campaign is bearing the brunt of his ire.
