Russ Feingold for Supreme Court

If you guys really want to nominate a progressive who stands a shot of getting confirmed by the Senate, how about Russ Feingold? He is respected by the Judiciary Committee ranking member Arlin Specter, and he has many friends in the Senate. Why even McCain is good friends with and would probably vote for him next year or the year after. McCain voted for Breyer and Ginsburg, after all.

Russ Feingold = best Supreme Court choice.

2. We're already losing 2 good senators...

in this election. If they start appointing other Senators, we're shooting ourselves in the foot. I mean yeah, it would be great to have the likes of Feingold, Kerry, and Clinton serving in the cabinet or on the Supreme Court, but at the same time it sucks to raid the Senate of good Dems like that.

Besides, he declared when he was seven years-old that he will be the first Jewish president. I support him in that effort.

I like Biden but I prefer Feingold. Biden is too moderate for my tastes.

Obama would get 85-90% of the Jewish vote instead of 80%, and it would have brought him Florida for sure. Just saying. Hard for anyone to claim that Obama is an anti-semite with a Jew on the ticket.

6. Nominees from the Senate

I can't think of the last time a justice was nominated from the Senate but don't they usually let each other slide through the confirmation process pretty easily out of professional courtesy?

That seemed to be what he was saying when the question came up in the earliest stages of the primary season, and again when the VP guessing game was going on.
