Omaha, NE - Five Nebraska State Senators from Omaha speak out in support of Senator Barack Obama. Senators Lowen Kruse, Steve Lathrop, Don Preister, John Synowiecki, and Tom White endorsed the Illinois Democrat for president. They say they believe in his economic policy, because he puts the middle class first.

1. That is great news and to me a huge surprise.

I have family in NE and most of them vote republican even while most are living on welfare. My grandma still thinks Bush is doing a good job and in the small town they live in the majority of the people are still quite racist. I am happy to hear NE is coming around!!!

All of them are great people and great Dems. You don't see them step up like this usually, so it is a bit surprising in that regard.

quiet I guess. I've not seen one Obama sign. I've not seen one McCain sign.

The Republicans are very quiet and it seems they are voting for their 'party' and not the candidate.


The endorsement may mean 1 EV from NE goes to BO.
