...the same way McCain did, with a contemptuous shrug and no eye contact, the GOP would have referred to John Kerry as a vile, dishonorable man. AND they would have questioned his sanity as well.

There are two standards ... one for Democrats and one for Rethuglicans. Any rotten, nasty thing that can be spoken about the opponent ... any lie ... any form of contempt is OKAY when spoken by a Rethuglican. An innocent comment from a Democrat taken out of context is the basis for all sorts of feigned outrage that can last for WEEKS on Faux Noise.
