1. President of the United States ...

That would be his worst venue.

2. McCain was terrible
Edited on Tue Oct-07-08 09:55 PM by LuckyTheDog
This debate made me an even stronger supporter of Obama and more sure that McCain is wrong for the job.

It came down do temperament. Obama came across as steady, presidential and thoughtful at just about every point during the debate. While McCain is knowledgeable, he also was irritated, sometimes sarcastic and often angry during the debate.

Why does this matter? It matters because we need to know that the president will maintain a cool head and will be open to listening to dissenting ideas -- especially during a crisis. Would McCain do that? Would his staff feel comfortable confronting him, given his tendency to display flashes of anger? Based on my experience with the dynamics of groups I have worked with, I doubt we'd hear much sober, frank debate in a McCain White House.

5. You're right.
McCain looked like a guy who would stomp around the white house giving orders without thinking about them...getting pissed at anyone who disagreed with him. Meanwhile, Obama looks thoughtful and genuinely interested in finding solutions...not dictating.

3. Actually I thought it was to our advantage as
you could SEE the age difference. I kept yelling sit down old man....it made me hurt seeing him move around like that.

4. Yeah. I thought this was supposed to be his preferred format.
What happened to him? He looked and sounded awful. McCain appears to have accepted defeat already. We had still better GOTV and not get overconfident.

6. Clearly he appreciated interacting with each of them personally right
after the debate and stayed there while the elite Obama and his AK-47 wielding Michelle left the scene in a hurrrrrry!!!!
