Why wouldn't McCain shake Obama's hand?

1. I'm wondering what the heck happened...

I only caught part of that and I didn't see what happened.

I saw McCain pat Obama's back, then I thought Obama extended his hand.

Did McCain not shake Obama's hand????????

(If so, maybe it would have been too strenuous for McCain to
walk, talk and shake at the same time. He was wheezing quite
a bit earlier when he had to walk, talk and hold a microphone
simultaneously).

They didn't show it on camera, but you see them go in close to do it. Thats why when the camera switched views they were so close together.

Hew is a mean spirited, temperamental loose cannon that needs to enjoy his last years of life in retirement.
