McCain is mostly flatlining, like 80% of the time. Sometimes gets up to about 50%, but very rarely over. Obama is doing better with women than men, but is running an average 60-100% approval rating with women, and maybe 25-70% with men. So both demographics are really liking Obama much better.

I think I have moved so far from when I used to listen to these events with my own ears (and yell at the tv) - but have no sense of how the debate might be viewed by others with different view points. Since I have tried to do the latter - I have been far more generous to the GOP side (ala - they didn't do so bad) - but for the first time that I can remember. The public sentiment seems to match my instinctive reaction than my more attempts of objective viewing.

I really appreciate the "reality check" per the undecided voters (selected for the viewing) responses. Please keep posting. Thanks.

McCain hasn't been bad (as stiff and generic/platitudinal) as the last debate, but he does not pass over the poise, and substance of Obama. But, after years of realizing that I see events like these through very differnt eyes of many other viewers, it is very interesting (and encouraging) to read how a set of independents are responding to the debate.
