"And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Revelation 19 : 7 says "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready."

Are you saying Sarah Palin is to be the wife of the Lamb of God?

6. Whoever wrote Revelations was on a Bad Acid Trip
That is the most backwards book of the new testament. I never figured out how that fit in, except they were looking for something to fit the end of days prophecy and Jesus final return.

15. You are probably more correct than you think...
First a little correction: its Revelation... not revelations. NO S.
(Most folks who call it that probably don't know much Bible, no offence I hope..
but I get furious with stupid fundies who say that all the time,
but they don't know squat).. anyway, I digress.

The book is a transcript of a dream...
an early Christian, John, was a threat to the roman empire.
He spoke out against the bloodthirsty roman occupation of Israel,
and they deported him, in exile, on the island of Patmos, off Greece.
He had no human company, very little food or drink.
He had this bizarre dream.... and that's all it was, a dream.

Well of course we know dreams can be interpreted, but that don't make them true.
And in no way do intelligent, informed, educated, main stream progressive christians
interprete this as the future. We all say that John was so hungry he ate a funny mushroom.

But why is it in the Bible?
In a crazy way it speaks hope to persecuted people.
It has wild imagry, but it has a hopeful end:
that there is a perfect place where there is no more war,
no more hate, no more sickness, just perfection.

Oh, to the first posting about the verse from REv. 19: 8...
This is a hymn, sung by the multitude of the 'saved,'
(the word 'saved' here means taken from bondage)...
whenever the word 'bride' is used in this book,
the symbol is for 'Christ's church.'
NOT an individual.
White robes are the symbol of those who are baptized,
a sign of perfection, and dare I say it? Salvation.

Why is this in the Bible? Because it's a witness to the persecutions
of the early Christians; they were hated and hunted down, similar to the way
pagans are hated and hunted down in many communities today.
There was much dissention about whether Revelation should be included in
the bible. Much too contentious, say some scholars. And we can see even today
how it is used to fill unknowing people with fear.

But then Jesus himself is used as a tool to fill people with hate,
fear, and racism. And Jesus weeps..

(BTW... why does Palin wear white?
Not because she's so pure,
I surmise she thinks she Evita..
"Don't cry for me Wah-sill--lia!")

7. I think differently
I think it's racist. She started wearing white in the south, and her speech was linking the presidential candidate who happens to be black to a man who had done terrorist acts. It's playing to the worst in people. I am a christian and this is not religious. She wore white 2 days straight.

19. I thought it was frowned upon
to wear white this time of year???

I'd think ole glamor shots there would be on the cutting edge of fashionable, so its clear she's sending some kind of message with the white outfit on back to back days.

20. This is why it's JUST as important to read "Vogue" as it is The Washington Post lol ....
..... it has been perfectly acceptable to wear white any time of year as long as you pair it with something wintery for quite some time now ..... we must see her shoes to be able to fully judge her attire. From what *I* saw, it appeared to be a very nice looking outfit.

However, this does not change the fact that she's a lying, incompetent, babbling, seditious twit. ;)
