If he wants to use it, I think it is clear what has happened at these two rallies has now given Obama the trump card to use if Ayers, Wright or associations are brought up again.

I mean, what kind of MAN would allow these comments to be heard and say nothing about them? I seem to recall Obama just a couple of weeks ago commenting on how he is sure McCain loves this country. And what does McCain and Palin do? Incite a crowd with rhetoric so much that the crowd feels it is okay to yell "terrorist" and "kill him."

Disgusting.

4. By this I mean.....
if McCain and Palin keep bringing Ayers/Wright and associations up, Obama can now unleash upon the fervor created by McCain and Palin's rallies and point out, people in their rallies have changed "terrorist" and "kill him" - this also will allow Obama to speak out about the low level of the McCain campaign.

I imagine Obama making a great statement tonight about the level of discourse in this campaign and how disgusted and sick he is with it in this day and age.

I mean, last night when I looked at the news of the day and ran across these two stories, it enraged me like nothing else. How dare a campaign illicit such responses from a crowd that allows them to think it is okay to chant "terrorist" and "kill him." On top of that, look at what the number one fear is when it comes to Obama.

So with all of these factors, I think it would be very easy to shut this crap down and quick.

5. He doesn't need to make a "great statement".
He did a whole 37 minute speech here in Philly about "race" and Wright. The thinking public knows that what McPalin is doing is wrong. It speaks for itself. And the ugliness that McLame showed at their previous debate resulted in droves of independents moving away from him.

All Obama needs to do is succintly answer whatever questions are put to him. If McLame wants to do the attack dog thing, Obama can just dismiss him like he did earlier. His surrogates would be the ones playing hardball.

6. I hope he will talk about the 'level of discourse' but I don't expect
BO to talk about the vulgar spewings from that nest of goons. He just can't go there, he won't go there for so many reasons. Yes, it is absolutely despicable, divisive, and dangerous how Dishonest John and his intern incite their angry white mobs, stirring up images of terrorists and death and, probably, lynching. But I keep thinking of Jackie Robinson and the name-calling and death threats he endured so silently. I can only imagine the kind of strength that took or what he would have said to those people if he could have spoken his mind. Obama knows he has to follow that example if he is to succeed.

They seek to divide us, and that is how I believe Obama will frame this, but don't expect him to get too specific. I think he decided long ago he will absolutely not talk about race unless he absolutely have to, and he especially won't talk about threats and violence. He does not want to be seen as causing any divisions himself. He truly wants to and believes he can bring us all together, but he has to walk a very unsteady tightrope this very minute and not say everything he's thinking. I believe Barack is just as heroic as Jackie Robinson. He's doing this for all of us.

2. to think McCain tried to make Obama's rallies look like Nazi rallies
his have actually turned into them.

Scary. He really should have called that guy out on his "terrorism" comment. When he didn't, he lost a great opportunity to shoot up in the polls by talking about how we are all in this together.

Jerk.
