I think it is now fair game.

I would give a hundred bucks for him to say something like, "Sen. McCain, what has happened to you?!?! Yesterday, a supporter of your's called me a terrorist. And I won't even repeat what another supporter of yours yelled at a Palin event. What has happened to you and your campaign."

1. Don't count on it.
Obama has consistently avoided hitting McCain "too hard" lest he look "angry."

3. It has to come up. McCain will sling mud. He's run the lyingest campaign in memory.
What do you suggest that Obama do?

5. Well, tonight it's a moot point...
Don't know about anyone else, but I was sort of stunned none of the nasty business came up. But if it does, I would like to hear Obama talk about how he has tried to run a different campaign and then talk about some of this nasty business. Maybe McCain is going to change a bit after what has been heard at these rallies.

Who knows anymore.

What a ride this is going to be in hindsight.

2. Why don't we let Obama be Obama.
He's done pretty well thus far.

I think he's got a great sense for being just about right......for whatever target audience he will be trying to tie down tomorrow.

6. I'm curious....just what do you see is the purpose of the DU?
Is it to just stand around, hum and drink the Kool Aid like the right wing? Are we to simply swallow all our political leaders give us? Or is it to be used for a variety of things?

I find it to be a place for Dems to rant, rave or just blow off steam or ask questions, regardless of what they are.

And frankly, I find that being able to supposedly do this, makes Democrats, Democrats. What I mean is, with the great mixed melting pot of the Democratic TRUE coalition, we have something in the Democratic party that the right does not. We are truly a big tent with people not afraid to ask tough questions or demand a lot from our leaders.

And if our leaders piss us off or if they don't do things the best way, then I think it is all right to ask them questions or point these things out.

"I would like to thank the Commission, the City of Nashville and its great mayor for hosting this event tonight. I only have one question. What the hell have you done with the Real John McCain? The Real John McCain had more honor than what your campaign has become. The real John McCain promised a campaign on the issues: Issues these voters want to hear from both of us on. John you need to stop listening to your advisors and run the campaign you promised the American people. We will all be the better for it."
