Wait a minute; didn't we all know that this was coming?
I mean was there ever any doubt that McCain would go viciously and dishonestly negative? You know it's only going to get uglier in the next 29 days. Much uglier. They're going to do their utmost to scare people about Obama, because that's the only fear card they have. They'll continue trying to paint him as a black terrorist. Yep, that's the point of this pathetic exercise, painting him as not only not quite American but as a black terrorist.

It's difficult not to get upset at the racism, the lies and the smears, but I'm damn well going to try not to let it throw me.

I'm taking my cue from Barack Obama.

Who's with me?

2. What I can't get a sense of is how much will stick.
It's all a bunch of lies and nonsense, but so was the Swiftboat stuff.

How gullible are people this time around??

7. My sense is that it just won't work this time around
Obama knows the game. The media isn't being as compliant, and John McCain is not an appealing candidate or a sitting president. But the big deal is that we're in the middle of an economic melt down that people generally attribute to the repukes.

3. it's one thing to expect it but then when it happens it's very jarring and upsetting.
No doubt, though, Barack's got this.

4. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. I think he got over-confident in the temporary bump
he got when he selected Palin. It seems desperate now. If they were so concerned about these things they are trying to trash him with, then how could they not have brought them up sooner? How terribly irresponsible of them to not warn their supporters earlier. LOL. This is the most idiotic presidential campaign I have every witnessed.

6. whoever didn't had their head in the sand
Obama knew he would face it, I suspect the game plan has been worked on for months. I have complete confidence that he'll battle through this and come out on top
