What will that little shrub do to try to totally destroy everything that's left?

1. Career civil cervants will put the cuffs on him first.
They don't have to sit idly by anymore.

4. To some extent, they already have.
Getting anything through the proper channels except the absolute, most major stuff has been at a standstill since May. They don't have the capacity to do squat right now.

2. Koresh knows
I am not quite so paranoid or quite so complimentary about Bush's organizational and strategic prowess to worry about suspended elections or banana-republic style embezzlement, but I DO worry about signing statements and executive orders that would limit civil rights and redirect serious money to buddies in halliburton etc. My guess is nothing will be so egregious that Obama would simply cancel it on day 1, but there will be some no-bid money and wiretapping I am sure.

5. Bush is defeated, he cannot wait to retire.
Seriously, if anyone is going to execute some sort of nefarious plan in won't be the haggard, withered Bush. He's a man who knows what his legacy is and now he has to come to terms with that.

9. Pardon everybody in his administration up to and including Cheney
Then resign and have Cheney pardon him. Wouldn't THAT be the perfect end to the worst Presidency ever.

10. The party is over.
No one in DC will let a soon to be ex-president do much more than drunkly stagger down the White House hallways late at night and speak to the statues. George Bush is irrelevant.
