Republican Strategists Seem Off-Message Right Now
Edited on Mon Oct-06-08 09:41 AM by hnmnf
Ive seen three Republican Strategists on all three cable networks saying that they think this is a bad strategy (character associations) for the McCain campaign. Andrea Tantaros on Fox, Leslie Sanchez on CNN, and Mike Murphy on MSNBC. Even the Repukes see this as ridiculous.

3. McCain is desperate and flailing...what the strategist pundits don't see is the balance sheet
McCain's being bled dry by the Obama money machine. he can't continue to respond everywhere, so he's trying to get the networks to cover him with free air time by attacking. It will fail, even if Obama didn't respond at all, but it's going to fail miserably with Obama responding because Obama will get equal free air time for his attacks.

The McCain campaign is now totally unhinged. Palin is out there trying to retain the collapsing support in Red States (Omaha? Florida?) that were supposed to be well off the table by now. McCain is - ahem - missing in action to "prepare" for town hall debates that he's supposed to be an expert at? It's a disaster.
