It is called "Obama's Plan for America."

Channel 73 on Dish Network, what network is that? Did he buy his own netowrk?

2. LOL... yep.. it looks like it is the Obama channel.. my on screen menu has it as OBAMA, and it plays
24/7 until at least 8:00am on the 14th, my on screen menu ends at that point.

My God, these people are fucking brilliant.

7. And some poster had the nerve
to whine that they didn't see anything worthwhile the campaign spent their money on(today)..when if it would just open its eyes it would be surrounded.

10. When you raise more money than anyone in history you can buy your own TV Network...
Of course if you're John McCain, you already have one. It's called Fox News. I couldn't believe the shit they were showing tonight. It was low even by Faux standards.

12. Yeah, me and my hubby got stuck on it last night after watching a movie--
I watched the story of his life and it brought me to tears again! Whenever your having a down mood politically, just switch over to channel 73 and it makes you feel so good!

(I just switched to DISH 2 weeks ago from cable and it's proving to be great! :))

15. Dish is a good, you can get FSTV and LINK on it too. That is the
reason I got Dish instead of cable.

16. Info here:
According to Ben Smith’s Blog at Politico.com, the Obama campaign has purchased a satellite channel that will run ads and other content about Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama on a loop around the clock. Located at Channel 73 on the Dish Network, The Obama Channel debuted this week and is being paid for the Obama campaign in an effort to reach voters nationwide.

Just to set the record straight, after apparently receiving criticism from conservative corners, the Dish Network issued a statement clarifying the fact that the 24-hour Obama Channel is not in any way an endorsement of Barack Obama’s campaign but is instead paid advertising.

"DISH Network Channel 73 is paid advertising by the Obama campaign and is not an endorsement of Senator Obama by DISH Network. DISH Network made the same offer to the McCain campaign, an offer that remains open," Dish Network spokesman Parker McConachie told Politico.com.

The Obama Channel, the latest in a series of out of the box media buys by the Obama campaign, will run through Election Day on Nov. 4. In addition to campaign ads and commercials, more content endorsing Barack Obama’s run for the White House is expected to appear on the channel in the final weeks before the general election.
