15. Why?
He was never convicted and she is calling him a terrorist. He is now a respected community organizer and educator in Chicago. He should quietly sue her...

5. In order to win, Ayers would have to to prove three things
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 06:48 PM by rocknation
That Palin lied
That Palin KNEW she was lying
That Palin lied because she wanted to make him look really really bad.

9. Oh, because we are talking about him here and it is likely that thousands or millions
have heard of him. How many thousands of people know any of us here?

16. In order to win, Ayers would have to prove the following:
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 07:54 PM by TexasObserver
1. That she made a false statement of a material fact against him.

2. That he is not a public person.

3. That her false statement of a material fact was made either with malicious intent to do him harm, or with reckless disregard for the truth, if he is a public person.

4. That the false statement was a proximate cause of actual economic damage to him.

5. And, he would have to prove those damages.

For Ayers to sue anyone would be a huge mistake.

18. He's likely going to end of having to speak about this.
Which might not be a bad thing

14. It's about pointing out what scum the gramps campaign are for trying to ruin
Ayer's life...

They are lying and they know it. That, I believe is slander.
