Obama SHOULD address the Ayers issue in the debate. Here's how...

Biden nailed it the other night when he talked about the "bogus standard" of Obama's supposed tax hike votes. He said if you applied the same standard to Senator McCain, McCain had voted over 400 times to raise taxes during his tenure in the Senate.

If & when Ayers comes up on Tuesday, Obama should say that if McCain applied the same standard to himself and Palin that they've applied to Obama regarding tangential associations with questionable characters, then one would have to say that McCain "pals around" with neo-nazis and white supremacists (through his ties to the WACL), anti-Semites and rabid homophobes (McCain's preacher), groups who openly advocate treason against the US by pushing for Alaska's secession from the Union (AIP), groups who claimed gays caused 9/11 (Falwell/Robertson), felons who have swindled the taxpayers of billions of dollars (Keating), and even an individual who openly called for the assassination of RFK (the writer Palin quoted in her acceptance speech).

Call it out as a bogus standard. That shut them up on taxes and will put the Ayers issue to bed by showing where WE are willing to go if they keep it up.

2. Good point....
but you did not mention McCain's friendship and support from G. Gordon Liddy...convicted felon, was ready and able to commit murder for Nixon and taught people how to kill FBI agents.

6. Obama needs to point out that when the republicans
start to worry about presidential elections, they try to resurrect the culture wars of the 60s.That's exactly what they're doing and that's what the swiftboaters did to John Kerry. He needs to expose it as a tired republican campaign tactic and nothing more.
