Just heard it on the news. For those of you who don't know, thats one of the most Republican parts of the state. (Close to TN)

AND... they never gave a crowd shot... naturally..
That's why I comb DU for people who go to these rallies and take their cameras... I always hope they'll post at least ONE taken from the edge of the crowd... (from a height, if possible..on a mailbox, up a tree, from a second story window)

6. Asheville one of the most republican parts of NC???????

I thought this mountain town was progressive. The most progressive
in NC. Lots of artists, free spirits... It might be close to TN, but
that doesn't they're one and the same. I know people there and the
message I got was that it's the most progressive part of NC.

I think the poster meant the area surrounding asheville which is fairly conservative by tradition.
