When most people know more about Palin as a fool and the jokes about her and less about her real stances then you know you are in bad shape!

McLame has to be pissed he did not have the balls to tell the GOP he did not want her.

What a maverick he is! LOL!

Lets work our asses off for 4 more weeks people!!

1. That is true, the discussion surrounding her is
not one of substance or policy. The issue is that she simply is not taken seriously.

2. re: And that kills any campaign!
Yeah, it killed GHWB in 1988...

VPs don't make much difference to most voters.

3. Whatever!
Dan Quayle didn't show his total ignorance until once he was in office....but dream on if you'd like.

What is your point exactly?

4. re: Dan Quayle didn't show his total ignorance until once he was in office.
I don't think you were following politics closely in 1988. Quayle was viewed as a boob and laughingstock all throughout the campaign, especially with the "You're no Jack Kennedy" debate. Dukakis and the DNC ran http://www.livingroomcandidate.org/commercials/1988/crazy">an anti-Quayle ad, for God's sake. Quayle blundered plenty in public in 1988.

The point is that don't think that Obama is winning this because of Sarah Palin. Obama's enemy is John McCain. That's our target.

6. Palin is helping, in a wierd kind of way
First off women voters are a demographic that typically tilts dem. But Bush made big inroads here.

Second, undecided women tend to tilt toward the more handsome candidate. No contest here.

Finally, Sarah's winkiepoo games simply turn off many women voters.

Beyond that her tendency to lie for a dime when the truth would get her a dollar is damaging the credibility of the overall campaign.

7. McCain is our targetagreed. But Palin wasn't the help she could have been to boost his sorry self

because she turned out to be a disaster. I talk to rethugs who are just trying to defend her now and spin for her. It is no longer about actually "liking" her.

5. There's a difference
You can't compare 1988 to today. For one thing, our side is the one that is winning this time. I agree that the election won't depend on Palin but she matters more than most VP choices.

10. SNL may well be responsible for restoring democracy to the world.
Sounds like a great sophomore gut course, if ever I heard one!
