Put up a weather map behind Palin, substitute the local weather sound, and that's her element.....
The wide-eyed smiling, eye-rolling, winking, attempt to be the always happy, folksy, and perky personality, pretty much sums up the substance of Sarah Palin.

BTW that is why local tv stations don't assign coverage of real news stories to weather personalities. It would ruin the efforts to build an always happy image for a local personality.

3. There are too many 'down' sports stories to allow her to remain 'up' all the time ...
Of course, if she did 'sports' reporting... she could pouch our her bottom lip and frown like a little girl, and the Republican Right would think she was simply adorable. So you may have a point!

2. Or give her a show like "The Magic Garden" - although I think that, even at 3 or 4, my kids
would have found her to be phony.
