So, if Bill Ayers has taught at U of Chicago for years and has contributed
to public education in the Chicago area for many years shouldn't there be a lot of people, including Republicans, guilt by association? And what about all those libraries that carry his books? Should we shut them down? And maybe we should get a list of all the people who bought his book(s).

3. He taught at U of Illinois in Chicago. VERY VERY different from the esteemed UChicago.
UChicago is a private college founded by a Rockefeller, completely separate from the UIllinois system.

5. Don't forget, though, that U of C was the home of the noxious "Chicago boys"
who caused so much harm to 3rd world countries years ago, i.e. Chile and Africa.

Of course, that was the Business School which has always been very conservative.

U of I is a great public university.

9. That was the UChicago School of Economics, which is extreme free-market.
The other UChicago schools of thought--sociology, mathematics, etc.--are nowhere near as noxious or odious as the SoE; indeed, I think they are quite progressive. The institution as a whole is very, very respectable for both undergrad and grad work.

7. I was thinking the same thing.
Where is the logic in accusing Obama of "palling" with terrorists when, with that logic, everyone who has any association with Ayers, would be a co-terrorist? That means friends, neighbors, colleagues, acquaintances, co-board members, students, employers and relatives of William Ayers.
