In Response to this Ayers BS
One thing Obama should do is make sure every voter is aware that McCain has hired the same crew who LIED about him in 2000 to spread lies about Obama now.

This would kill two birds with one stone: undermine the credibility of the attacks and also show McCain as someone with absolutely no integrity.

2. I think Obama's camp should use Palin's connection to AIP
Founder Of Group Palin Courted Professed "Hatred For The American Government"; Cursed "Damn Flag"
By Greg Sargent - September 2, 2008, 6:10PM
The founder of the Alaska Independence Party -- a group that has been courted over the years by Sarah Palin, and one her husband was a member of for roughly seven years -- once professed his "hatred for the American government" and cursed the American flag as a "damn flag."

The AIP founder, Joe Vogler, made the comments in 1991, in an interview that's now housed at the Oral History Program in the Rasmuson Library at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.

"The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government," Vogler said in the interview, in which he talked extensively about his desire for Alaskan secession, the key goal of the AIP.

"And I won't be buried under their damn flag," Vogler continued in the interview, which also touched on his disappointment with the American judicial system. "I'll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home."

At another point, Volger advocated renouncing allegiance to the United States. In the course of denouncing Federal regulation over land, he said:

5. I think they should leave that to a 527.
Obama should focus his attention on the top of the ticket.

I really think it would be helpful to highlight how McCain deliberately hired a team of KNOWN LIARS to smear Obama.

7. John McCain's Domestic Terrorism Problem
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 09:21 AM by MPK
http://www.jedreport.com/2008/04/john-mccains-do.html

"More details on the anti-terrorism legislation opposed by McCain:

At issue is a 1994 law protecting abortion clinics from anti-choice terrorism. In May, 1994 the Senate passed the legislation by a 69-30 margin, and John McCain was among the cabal of anti-choice Senators who voted against the bill.

McCain's opposition to the legislation is rather remarkable. Its provisions were narrowly tailored to protect clinics from the wave of anti-choice terrorism that was sweeping the nation at the time. (Read the full legislation here.)

Here's how the New York Times described the new law when it first passed the Senate in November, 1993 (it passed by the same margin as the final bill, and McCain opposed it both times):"

Another one:

http://www.blueoregon.com/2008/04/when-will-john.html

"It seems that in 1993, John McCain was the keynote speaker at a fundraising banquet for the Oregon Citizens Alliance, the notorious anti-gay organization that was causing all sorts of trouble in Oregon in the 1990s.

McCain quickly got a first-hand flavor for the OCA. Marylin Shannon, the vice chairwoman of the Oregon GOP, had a spot on the program to give an opening prayer. In short order, she praised the Grants Pass woman accused of shooting an abortion doctor in Wichita and thanked the Lord ``for Lon Mabon and the vision you put in his heart.''

Let's check that again. Marilyn Shannon praises a terrorist who shot a doctor while introducing John McCain, and not only does he stay, he stands up and gives a fundraising address for these terrorist-lovers?"

8. McCain also once gave an interview
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 09:24 AM by iceman66
where he suggested that Osama Bin Laden maybe isn't such a 'bad guy' after all. Of course this was long before 9/11, but if he wants to dredge up ancient history with this Ayers shit . . .

16. Thank you!
All around interesting article. In 1998 he still had his mask firmly in place. I wonder what happened to him in the last ten years for him to go all out nuts to the wall McScarypants.

9. YES and show that McCain's tactics are more of the same old politics
Undermine the credibility of the attacks, show McCain has no integrity, and then hammer home that this is exactly the kind of old, counterproductive politics that need to change.

Turn the attacks back on McCain & Palin, and undermine their entire message over and over and over.

10. Absolutely. When they point out the number of lobbyists....
running the mccain campaign, they should routinely follow up with a list of the people running Obama attack ads. The hypocrisy of mcain is astounding on every level and should be pointed out whenever possible.
