Sarah Palin's "newspaper" EXPOSED:
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/09/30/palins-news/

COURIC: And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this — to stay informed and to understand the world?

PALIN: I’ve read most of them again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media —

COURIC: But what ones specifically? I’m curious.

PALIN: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years.

COURIC: Can you name any of them?

PALIN: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/05/palin-misquotes-albright_n_131967.html

At a rally today in California, Gov. Sarah Palin offered up a rather jarring argument for supporting the Republican ticket. "There's a place in Hell reserved for women who don't support other women," the Alaska Governor said, claiming she was quoting former Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

The statement came after Palin had recounted a "providential" moment she experienced on Saturday: "I'm reading on my Starbucks mocha cup, ok? The quote of the day... It was Madeleine Albright, former Secretary of State and UN ambassador. ... Now she said it, I didn't. She said, 'There's a place in Hell reserved for women who don't support other women.'"

Actually, Albright didn't say that. The real quote is, "There's a place in Hell reserved for women who don't help other women." (Sources made the same point to CBS's Scott Conroy.)

What next? Foregin policy proposals from her fortune cookie?

1. See, the thing is, Albright was speaking about Palin, not the rest of us.

5. The mind of a sociopath
I would take it that the universe was sending her the message to reform her ways. That she doesn't help other women with her charging for rape kits and allegedly firing someone who wanted to seek money for funding an anti-domestic violence campaign. But no- she thinks it's about other women helping her. Narcissism thy name is Sarah.

-Be not ashamed of mistakes and thus make them crimes.

-Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.

-Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.

-Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses.

-He who will not economize will have to agonize.

-Ignorance is the night of the mind, but a night without moon and star.

Looks like she got the wrong cup. ;)

11. Feminism FAIL
Sarah, I know this is difficult to understand, but helping your ticket get elected doesn't help women. Sure, it helps one woman become VP when she has proven herself to be completely unqualified, but this isn't what Madeleine Albright meant. Pick up the phone and ask her yourself. I'm sure she'll be more than happy to set the record straight on this particular matter.

14. Wow, she gets her inspiration from coffee mug sayings.
Well, if you think about it, that fits - she is so used to the note cards put in front of her with talking points, it is easy to get the note cards and her coffee cup confused.

15. perhaps the universe was trying to send HER a message...
in the random form of a starbucks cup quote.. She used it to suggest that other woman should support her... perhaps she should have interpreted it as she needs to rethink her own positions on womans issues. :eyes:
