Reason that the media is giving Palin's comment about Ayers lots of play
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 08:01 AM by Stuart G
Simple. The media literally destroyed poor Sara with her comments about...what sources of news do you read?..She didn't name even one..
And the Supreme Court comment..After Roe? .. she couldn't even name one..

It is just an attempt by the media to be ..."fair with poor Sara.."...........Fuck em..

They are giving Sara lots of play, to even out the negative coverage of her earlier statements....

Besides..if there isn't something to talk about that is interesting and exciting, the election is basically over.
...Wouldn't want that..The media would make less??????...money...

1. She lost all of her credibility last month.
Now, she just sounds nasty, petty and desperate.

3. And nobody likes a mudfight more than reporters...

They'll encourage this sort of crap, then turn to the other candidate and say (in veiled terms), "Are you just going to take this crap?"

The want to goad, prod, and cajole any form of nastiness they can get. Good for ratings, dontcha know.

4. actually the coverage is probably helpful to Obama
she has little credibility except with morons

so using her to lead this attack makes it obvious what it is. Independents were largely insulted by her winks, and will also be insulted by this attempt to play them for fools

5. Thats what I think too. Obama was around 8 years old during that time period,
no real pal or buddy to Ayers. It really shows desperation when they stretch it to a point of trying to make a connection. I really do think this is one that could really turn people off of McCain and not trust him with the truth at all.

8. The irony is, this is a weekend
and there are baseball playoffs going on, tons of college games, and pro football. Probably 3/4 of the electorate are not paying attention or are paying scant attention. Fall is here and people in the temperate areas of the U.S. are trying to figure out where the $$ will come from to heat their houses this winter. A number of those areas have already had their first frosts. Others are out of the loop completely in areas that were flooded out and destroyed by excessive rains and hurricanes, blown out by tornadoes, and burned out by wildfires. They don't have patience for the game-playing.

As they say, "first impressions" are often what sticks and since Obama was able to positively alter his first impressions during the primaries, he is in much better shape. But since there are only a couple weeks left for McPalin to do the same, they are finished.

9. CNN was practically begging for McCain to start going negative.
So expect their "fair" coverage to include full coverage and text of the negative statements.

Expect no direct criticism of the McCain camp.

Obvious lies will be "fact checked" by asking a question that implies there is some truth to it, followed by a swiss cheese explanation.

Nader will get more air time. Barr will not.

10. And with this negativity ...comes the illusion that there is a close election..
With that illusion, will come more spending than would be expected if the election were one sided. That illusion is necessary for the media to increase profits.
