Talk about desperate -- Palin to campaign in NEBRASKA!!!
Nebraska? How bad could things be for McSame to send Palin to Nebraska?

Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is planning a Omaha stop Sunday evening.

1. It's about as far away as she could get in 3 hours.
Tomorrow she's campaigning in Calgary.

2. I'm still trying to figure out them being in CA
Do they not understand what a battleground state is and how to win one?

Its ok to go back to states that you have in the bag to keep them excited, but I don't think you're doing any favor in California.

She really couldn't campaign outside of the midwest. I think the East Coast would try to stone her at this point.

I expect that once she gets some practice in a safe state they might let her try Minnesota. Ya know, for a few familiar you betchas.

9. Electoral votes distributed by House District
In Maine and Nebraska, electoral votes are distributed by House District, vs. winner take all. Obama has a chance at one vote in Nebraska. McCain thinks he has a chance at one vote in Maine.

The Repubs tried to change California's electoral votes from winner take all. That idea didn't last long in the Dem-controlled legislature. California gives a Dem about 1/5 of all the electoral votes they need.

11. Obama's all up in their head
The Obama campaign threw down the gauntlet on Omaha two days ago, and McCain is already reacting. That's great. They are in full defense mode, as Obama expands the territory under threat. The line will break, ladies and gentlemen. And the blue will rush through.

15. Well Said!

I agree 100%. These clowns are playing complete defense and have no idea where to go or what to do next. Also, there are severely limited areas where she can go.

14. The Schmidthead was trying to find a state that Palin
couldn't possibly fuck up for them, and the choice came down to Nebraska or Wyoming.

16. Money!!!
They need money. They need to get red state republicans excited enough to contribute to McCain, whom they loath. Even her trip to Corona, California is probably aimed at fundraising.

18. Those votes are more than symbolic.
It would represent the beginning of a sea change in Nebraska that is long past due.
