I helped my elderly relative cast her absentee vote today.
She went Republican. She "liked that woman". She was scared that Obama would ruin our country during this
great economic crisis.
My heart was pained as I filled in the marks she wanted, but in my mind I knew that
a persons right to have their vote counted is more important than my wish.
I showed her all the votes and she agreed they were correct. She signed her name.
I signed as witness.

Now I'm back to my anxiety over my job loss on Friday...but I do have hope!

1. Sometimes doing the right thing hurts.
Right thing being making sure she voted as she wanted.

3. Good for you.
I can only imagine how it must have felt to help her do that but you did the right thing. Democrats should not be about suppressing any legitimate votes, that's a game Republicans play.

5. At least someone can't accuse you of voter fraud.
