Not a chance. CNN poll has Obama up by 11 in MN.

8. Minnesota is close Why?
I lived and worked in the twin Cities suburb of Arden Hills area for six years in the 90's. I thought MN was Democratic but listening to the newly wealthy of that place and time was instead a hatred of Humphrey and Democrats. The Iron Rangers (especially Radio Personally Steve Canon) were still strong Dems but it was over whelmed by the cities that were going Conservative fast.

27. Minneapolis and St. Paul have never gone conservative
they remain solidly blue (Normie Coleman hasn't even managed to carry St. Paul in either of his statewide races - not even his own precinct).

Many of the suburbs have been a problem, but in 2004 even Bloomington and Edina went to Kerry.

Besides that was like one hundred years ago in terms of political campaigns. McCain has no hope now -- after the next three weeks, he'll be lucky to stay in the Senate.

22. Well, what if you give CO to McCain?
It's very close there. Perhaps I was a bit too generous in giving CO to Obama.

If you do that then McCain wins 284-254. And winning VA or IN or NV or CO does nothing. McCain still wins.

threads, because we live here and know the people of our own state. I live here, I've seen Coleman's & McCain's stupid, hyperbolic and insulting ads, and I know it's BS, and I also know these ads are backfiring. But that won't stop the panic based upon one outlier poll. :eyes:

39. I am in MN also, and no Franken is not bringing down Obama. There hasn't been any ads here until t
this week. Also the most current poll is the Star Trib one. Came out this from polling this week of over 1000. We have more Democrats here than Repugs. Also what is bringing down Coleman is his ads are attack ads. That doesn't work in MN. The most likely bump is from more people going to the I candidate Barkley, and more Democrats are supporting Franken. He had only 2/3's support of the Dems recently. It is now around 75 pct support of the Dems.
