At least 43 Iraqis were killed and another 34 were wounded in the latest violence. Among them were 35 security personnel who were killed in a bold attack in Diyala province. Also, the Department of Defense reported that a U.S. soldier died from an non-combat illness.

At least 15 Iraqis were killed and 24 more were wounded in the latest attacks. The bombings continued in Baghdad, while a suicide bomber killed a U.S. soldier in Baquba. Also, a Saudi national was killed during a raid in Mosul. Meanwhile, the U.S. military denied harming civilians during an attack yesterday in Baghdad.

At least 11 Iraqis were killed and 13 more were wounded in the latest attacks. A roadside bomb killed a U.S. soldier in Iskandariya. Also, followers of Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr peacefully continued their weekly protests against a proposed U.S-Iraqi security deal.

At least 13 Iraqis were killed and another 29 were wounded in the latest round of violence. One incident involved clashes between Peshmerga and Iraqi army troops in a continuing dispute in Diyala province. One American soldier was killed in an vehicle accident.

A significant number of small attacks left at least 51 Iraqis dead and another 138 wounded. The violence was spread out fairly evenly across northern and central Iraq. Tensions continue in Kurdish Diyala where the mayor of Saadiya escaped an assassination attempt. No Coalition deaths were reported. Meanwhile, hundreds of Christians protested a new elections law because it does not guarantee them seats on provincial councils.

At least eight Iraqis were killed and 15 more were wounded in the latest violence. Also, one U.S. soldier was killed during a small arms attack in Baghdad. Meanwhile, Iraq purchased 12 U.S. reconnaissance planes. Also, the government will now permit Iraqi doctors to carry weapons for self-defense.

At least 9 Iraqis were killed and 20 more were wounded as Sunnis began observing the Eid al-Fitr holiday. Also, a U.S. soldier was killed in a small arms attack in Baghdad.

At least eight Iraqis were killed and 37 more were wounded in the latest attacks. The lion's share of the casualties occurred during an attack on a shrine in Balad. No Coalition casualties were reported anywhere in Iraq. The Eid al-Fitr holiday continues, so there may be fewer reports than normal coming out of the country. In other news, U.S. and Iraqi casualties were down from the same period last September.

As the faithful were observing the Eid, suicide bombers struck at a pair of Sistani-led mosques in Baghdad. Overall, at least 39 Iraqis were killed and 65 more were wounded in attacks across the country. No Coalition deaths were reported, but four U.S. soldiers were injured during a bombing in Baghdad. Also, a U.S. soldier was sentenced to eight months in prison after pleading guilty on charges of being an accessory to the murder of four Iraqi detainees
