Why was Palin so condescending toward Biden
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 03:58 PM by Nasprin
She had a snide remark every time Biden was finished speaking. I mean I thought this was the party of the "grown ups." She sounded like some damn holier than though elitist, looking for her entitlement. Her arrogance seemed intolerable at times. Yet I read online today that she came across cool and calm and in control, while Biden seemed to hesitate on questions, and didn't come across as calm and prepared as Palin. What the hell? She didn't even answer most of the questions that were thrown at her. She just kept talking about her useless energy policy and how she has so much experience on energy because "you know I was Governor of Alaska." I mean literally she was asked several times to respond to a specific question and she refused to and instead starting rambling on about "energy" This debate was canned with phony, bullshit, made up remarks by Palin, straight from Roves mouth to hers and she still looked like a child debating a man on that stage. I just don't get it.

1. When she accused Obama/Biden
of being naive - that was just too much.

3. For the same reason Bush is so condescending to everyone.
It's how bullies operate. Rather than present facts, they present garbage with the forcefulness of facts and hope people will buy it.

7. To compensate for the fact that the appropriate response for her would be shame
shame at putting herself on the same stage against a candidate who is many thousands of times more qualified than she.

9. because she could. And the media wanted her to.
Can you imagine if Biden had acted that way toward her? Or if he had acted as McCain did to Obama? I do think that the McCain camp was trying to "bait" Biden into some gaffe though, I kept hearing that all day long from the "analysts" who were basing it off of what they heard from McCain advisors. It clearly did not work, Biden treated her like the distraction that she is.

13. Damn, if I were in Alaska I would be mortified.
Alaskans need to mount a Recall Petition & toss her out. She is corrupt & inept. The vetting process of her becoming Gov. must have been almost non existent. Her abuses while Gov. have been ignored until recently. The spotlight now has revealed her unethical & perhaps criminal actions as Gov. She screwed up by accepting the VP position that is way beyond her level & has brought about scrutiny of her as Mayor & Gov. She is unfit to be Gov., much less VP or possibly Pres. of the USA

12. I don't get it either.
How anyone could even think for a moment that she did such a good job in that debate. Everything that she said was a memorized talking point and nothing more. Her winks, her attitude, her non-knowledge of any real issues, her choosing not to answer any questions, her "can I call you Joe", the whole non-debate on her part was total BS. And when P. Buchanan said that she "wiped the floor with Biden", HUH?? I just wanted to :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

14. Cause she's like that to everyone.
She strikes me as such an uptight conservative bitch who feels she has every right to say what she wants and force her views on to you. But to her defense, she has to act that way in this campaign, it was the reason they tapped her to being with. That's her role. They throw her out there when she needs to be snarky and attack Obama/Biden and then reel her back in when she gets too close to speaking her own mind. That's why she's kept more hidden then Dick Cheney.

GOP's reasonings to John McCain as to why they made him choose Palin-- lets give them voters a little folksy bullshit charm, but not too much. Too much and they all catch on to what an ignorant unqualified puppet we've saddled you with. Just enough and they'll be too mesmerized by her "I'm like you" persona that we can con them into voting for us cause they'll actually think we can relate to them and have their interests at heart.
