3. No, you're not wrong, and there's another thread on it here too.
There's a long thread with DUers expressing their opinion and the last time I read it nobody disagreed. Palin treats her children like props and she's neglectful of her special needs infant, who doesn't need to be dragged around the country in front of huge loud crowds in the middle of the night. Nor does he need to be handed off to a six year old who ought to be in bed herself.

The Palins are lousy parents. They treat their children like props. There, I said it too.

23. I'd be happy to.
the 17 year old unmarried pregnant daughter of a holier then thou religious zealot who spews on about abstinence training. If palin's daughters failings (in the eyes of her parents and other zealots like her parents) are off limits then why should she be able to drag out her other kids and brey about family values for political reasons. Her slut daughter should be paraded out as well.

Those with christian conservative values make me want to puke. I hope this explanation is satisfactory. If not, let me know and we'll talk about bibilical manipulation by pukes in this country who think the constitution exists only to protect them.

4. I agree with you and maybe my logic ain't right
but if the slut daughter and her failed abstinence training are "off limits" then all candidates children should be invisible for the election cycle. It did seem that palin wanted to make sure the camera caught her holding the baby. Shameless exploitation. There values suck.

21. I didn't know that
I take back my earlier comment (when I said, "that was funny") -- I thought the person I was replying to was suggesting the baby was not really a baby, but a doll

28. I have never, never, never seen any type of foot covering on him.
As a person who hates to have cold feet, I am protesting on his behalf! We progressives must speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves!

PUT SOME DAMN BOOTIES ON THAT POOR BABY, SARAH!

And it might help to get a nanny to make sure he's comfortably tucked into bed at a decent hour. And stop tossing him from person to person like a football. And I don't think a 5-year-old should be holding him unattended all the time. He's not a trophy, or a campaign poster. He should be treated like the precious little bundle that he is.

Seriously, there seems to be a real lack of respect for that child. I am surprised that more hasn't been made of it. There should be.

13. Until yesterday, I was thinking about how I hadn't seen him aound her
since she was first introduced, and that the poor baby probably need to spend more time with his mom.

Even if he is a prop, it is better for him to be with her (or his dad)

He doesn't need to be there and no one would criticize them if he wasn't.

17. unfortunately, yes.....however, DS babies and children have no clue what is
going on, and Palin probably has been informed of this.... they have no emotion, really.

BUT, BUT, what is called "early intervention" is critical to help DS babies and children develop as much as they are able. I don't know if this child will be a "high functioning" DS youngster, or the other.

She surely doesn't seem to care about any of this, however.

18. Being raised by tundra trash in greater downtown Wasilla is not
likely to result in a "high functioning" Down's child. Especially with a mother less clever than a box of rocks.

19. It seems to me that Palin wears that baby as an accessory. I was also bothered
by the thought of an infant being subjected to the noise, glaring lights and who knows what kind of germs in a crowd of that size. It would have been much better had they left the baby at the hotel with a nanny instead of hauling him around for show and tell.

22. I cannot find a photo of Trig with his eyes open online
Has anyone seen this baby awake? In huge gatherings when its being passed around from person to person with loud noise and not a singly cry? Would they bring out a comatose child to show off in the same way? Or are they sedating him so he doesn't cry during these public appearances and embarass them?

25. You are correct. The kid is hauled out for "look at me. We're righteous and holy"
and when the show & tell photo op is done, he's handed over to big sister.
