Palin: Obama should be disqualified from presidency
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 11:34 AM by endthewar
http://www.politicshome.com/usa/Landing.aspx?Blog=3508&perma=link#3508

"Speaking on Fox News with Carl Cameron, Governor Sarah Palin said that Senator Obama's comments on Iraq and Afghanistan, in her view, disqualified him "from consideration as the next Commander in Chief.""

I'm sure the video will be up on youtube later today.

:eyes:

I'm going to enjoy watching her get impeached from Troopergate after she loses this election.

On edit: Another link with a few more details:

http://thepage.time.com/2008/10/03/palin-chats-with-fox-news/

"Speaking with Fox News’ Carl Cameron, the VP candidate says some of Obama’s comments “in my world disqualify someone from consideration as the next commander in chief.”

Claims Obama has said that U.S. troops in Afghanistan are “just air-raiding villages and killing civilians.” Adds: “That’s reckless.”

Also says she is “annoyed” toward the media for being “clobbered” no matter what she says.

Plus: Cameron says Palin apologized for misstating the name of Gen. McKiernan, but stands by her claim that U.S. forces in Iraq are at pre-surge levels."

It was originally written for a videogame. I think it should be Blackwater's corproate anthem.

5. Seriously. Some of these talking points are just mind-boggling.
At least have McCain say it instead of Palin. McCain's campaign is teetering on the edge of insanity right now.

Brian Williams actually called her out on this last night (I mean ,people like Rachel Maddow called her out, but I expect it from her) and said that Palin gets her advice from dead Civil War generals.

30. why not?
She speaks in tongues, gets advice from witch-doctor-hunters, so channeling a Civil War general is par for the course (and not a particularly effective general at that). And McCain probably knew him personally.

BTW, McClellan ran for president in 1864 and resoundingly lost to Lincoln.

18. This is always the Republican strategy: the other party is disqualified
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 11:44 AM by kenny blankenship
They don't say "We Republicans are better qualified" - they say the other side has no business running. The other side is criminal. The other side is un-American. The other side consorts with our enemies. The other side is at war with God. The other side shouldn't be in office - the other side should be in Gitmo.

The Democrats have never faced this squarely in my opinion, which is why it has taken the near complete destruction of our country at the hands of Republicans to bring Democrats back to power. We never defeated the Republicans so much as they defeated themselves.

Water way gone under the bridge you may say. But still it would be a mistake for the party not to address this head on. When the other side observes no limits in their attack on you, you can't be squeamish about how you reply.

Hannity has been bringing this stuff up for months.

These latest comments from Sarah Palin are directly from the Palin book.

The McCain/Palin campaign should be ashamed.

36. I'm a woman
and it doesn't sound sexist to me.

It's only sexist when you use it against a woman to shut her up or demean her.

Your comment is just a statement of fact.

Either they didn't believe he said it, or they figured she was using it out of context and thought it was dirty politics on her part.
